WORK EXPERIENCE / PROJECTS INVOLVED

My both undergraduate and post-graduate experiences were mainly on Electrical Engineering, Information & Communication Technology (ICT), as well as in the field of Electro-Biomedical Engineering. Over the last few years, I was privileged to participate in various projects; small, big and complex, few of which are listed below:

  • 2003 – 2004:Industrial Attachment at the Nigerian Telecommunications Limited NITEL, Central Zone Exchange, Wuse-II, Abuja.

Responsibility: I participated actively in the CDMA installation project awarded to HUAWEI (China) involving setting up of the Base-Transceiver-Station (BTS), and its cross-connections to the Main Distribution Frame (MDF) at the Microwave & Fibre-Optic Transmission Carrier Rooms, Wuse – II, Abuja.

  • 2006: Hired at Image Technologies in collaboration with Quanteq Ltd; companies that provide ICT-related services in Data management, Data Integrity, Data Security and Protection, then general IT solutions.

Responsibility: I participated as a team member of the Service Records Data Migration Specialists, at the three-week nationwide pensioners Verification & service record digitalization Exercise held in Kaduna, organized by the National Pension Commission (PENCOM).

  • 2006 – 2007: National Youth Service Corp (NYSC), at Triad Associates (Architects + Consultants), 29, Rabah Road, Kaduna, Kaduna State.

Responsibility: I served as the System Administrator in charge of IT installations as well as general PC hardware & software maintenance & management.

  • 2007: Team member, EIA Environmental Audit of the Transcorp Hilton Hotel, and Abuja Sheraton Hotels & Towers, Abuja; Job awarded to Sahel Consult Limited.

Responsibility: I was Involved in the assessment and auditing of electrical machines, IT installations and general electrical appliances.

  • 2008 – 2010: Alart Leak detection procedure for petroleum product storage facility; a

Test procedure defined by the Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR).

Responsibilities: We conducted hundreds of the procedure offered through the use of Digitally-Interfaced System (DIS) using an Advanced Testing Equipment (ATE).

  • 2010- 2011:  Consultant Electrical Engineer for the construction of faculty of Agriculture and faculty of Veterinary at Usman Danfodio University Sokoto (UDUTH).

Responsibility: Electrical design team member, in the production of project drawings.

  • 2012:  Consultant Electrical Engineer for the construction of National Association for the Nigerian Nurses & Midwives (NANNM).

Responsibility: Head – Electrical design team charged with production of all electrical project drawings.

  • 2013-2014:  Consultant Electrical/ ICT Engineer for the construction of Katsina ICT & Business Management Institute.

Responsibility: Head – Electrical design team member, in the production of project drawings.

  • 2014:  Consultant Electrical Engineer for the construction of School of Arts & Social Sciences, at federal college of Education Katsina.

Responsibility: Electrical design team member, in the production of project drawings.

  • 2015:  Consultant Electrical Engineer for the construction of Vocational Training, Federal college of Education Katsina.

Responsibility: Head – Electrical design team charged with production of project drawings.

  • 2014 – 2016: Consultant Electrical Engineer for the construction of Katsina State 200 Mass Housing Units, Kafe district, Abuja, awarded by the Katsina State Housing Authority.

Responsibility: Project Manager, in charge of all installations of Electrical & Mechanical services.

  • 2016 – 2017: ICT/ Network Professional at the state-of-the-art Centre of Excellence; a Six Billion Naira CBN funded project involving setting up of CISCO-based TelePresence and complete Installation & Configuration of the entire Centre of Excellence’s Data & ICT Network backbone.

Responsibility: Professional Deployment Specialist, and Manager in charge of all the installations on site of both Electrical services as well as all CISCO-based ICT infrastructure.

  • 2016 – 2018: ICT Consultant and the Chief Biomedical Engineer in the project for the construction of Sahel Medicare Centre Katsina; A private owned world-class and state-of-the-art medical diagnostic Centre.

Responsibility: Project Manager, in charge of all installations, Settings and configuration the Hi-end medical machines; CT-Scan, MRI, Digital X-Ray, Mammography, 3D/4D Full-Digital Ultra Sound, Computed Radiography (CR), Automated & Semi-Automated Laboratory, etc. secondly, I was charged with the responsibility of setting up the REACH software; An Automated Hospital Management Software (HMS) developed by the Indians to offer full Data & Patients records digitization and automation, for the Centre as well as the routine Cloud Storage backup of the digitized data records.
